1. The Pink House
This lovely Bermuda Pink structure is on Chalmers Street and is with rubble stones. Aside from the age of this historic Charleston structure, The Pink House’s history is also pretty interesting. The Pink House was a popular hangout for pirates and sailors. Some have even speculated that Black Beard may have paid a visit, albeit there is contradicting evidence that he did not. In any case, it is one of the top spots to visit in Charleston! Furthermore, Chalmers Street is one of Charleston’s most photogenic streets.
2. Visit The 4 Corners
Feel like a local Charlestonian and tell your pals to meet you at the 4 Corners, which are on Meeting Street and Broad Street. This intersection was dubbed the “four corners of law” since each corner contains a law institution, whether state, local, or religious. St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Charleston Municipal Building, the Charleston County Courthouse, and the US Postal Services and Federal Judiciary are among the four structures.
3. Joe Riley Waterfront Parkway
The Waterfront Parkway, best known for the Pineapple Water Fountain, is one of the top things to do in Charleston, SC! This 12-acre park overlooks Charleston Harbour and the Cooper River.

4. Boone Hall Plantation
As lovely as Charleston and its plantations are, it is vital to remember that the city was slaves. During your visit, you can choose from many timed and featured live tour alternatives. Some of the most popular tours are the Gullah Culture Tour, the Historical Dwelling History Talk, and the House Tour. I thought the tours did an excellent job of describing the plantation’s tragic history, and the tour guides were eager to answer any of my questions.
5. Rainbow Row
A trip down Rainbow Row is another of the nicest things to do in Charleston. Rainbow Row is a row of 13 pastel-colored houses on Bay Street between Tradd and Elliot Streets. It is one of the most popular photo locations in Charleston due to its coloured curb appeal. After the civil war, this neighbourhood was an unpleasant part of town. Then, in 1931, a real estate agent bought several of the houses and painted them pink. Other property owners followed suit, and it is now one of the more desired areas of town!
6. The Battery
You can’t visit Charleston without visiting the Battery. Erected as a defense wall to protect the city, it is now regarded as one of the coolest things to do in Charleston. In fact, the Battery is almost crowded with people walking along it. The wall runs along the Ashley and Cooper Rivers, providing breathtaking vistas. This is also an excellent site to see multi-million-dollar antebellum houses. These houses are beautiful! I’d suggest starting at the Edmondston-Alston House on E Battery.
